In order to celebrate the coronation of King George VI of England to be held in London, Asahi Shimbun produced a prototype of the Type 97 Detective, which had not yet been adopted by the army. He takes over the plane and plans to set a high-speed record flight to London. Although air routes connecting Japan and Europe had not been established at that time, the kamikaze train departed from Tachikawa on April 6, 1937, taking a total of 94 hours, 17 minutes, and 56 seconds. Arrived in London on April 9th. We will set a world record for the fastest route between Asia and Europe. At this time, Japan was considered to be underdeveloped in terms of aircraft development, and this record was praised with astonishment from all over the world.
