FUJIMI 1/700 Special Series No.16 Japanese Navy Aircraft Carrier Soryu (Showa 13/Showa 16). Soryu, which plays a role in the 1st Mobile Fleet, can be selected from three modes during 1939, the outbreak of war, and MI operations, and is re-released with new parts added! Aircraft carrier Soryu is an aircraft carrier built following Ryujo. She was built without being bound by the restrictions of the arms control treaty, and was completed in December 1939 at the Kure Naval Arsenal as a well-balanced medium-sized aircraft carrier with a displacement of 15,900 tons, a total length of 227.5 m, and a speed of 34.5 knots. After commissioning, he participated in the Sino-Japanese Incident, participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor at the beginning of the Pacific War, supported the capture of Wake Island, fought in the Indian Ocean, and served in the United States in Operation MI (Midway Island Capture Operation) in June 1945. Specification to perform each painting and assembly and gluing later. -New chrysanthemum emblem on the bow of the ship.・With a 3-part structure, the boat body and the floor of the loading area are separate parts, and can be assembled after painting, eliminating the need for masking. -The mount for the 12-meter fire boat loaded on the stern is molded with uneven shapes and light holes, giving it a more precise feel. - Two types of flight deck markings are available: 1938 and 1944, and the red identification circle from the 1940 MI operation is also included. -Added a decal that includes the stern ship name (warship color filled tone).・The Type 96 25mm twin machine gun is now a standard specification with a two-part configuration that reduces painting/separation work. -The hull has a structure in which the port and starboard sides are integrated, and features such as the lower bow deck than Hiryu are reproduced with special parts. - Although it is an integral part, it has a three-dimensional feel, such as the numerous portholes and the overhang of the canister ventilation passage that can often be seen on the port side. -The flight deck is a single piece structure with delicate carvings such as a delicate wooden deck, expansion joints, gutters surrounding all sides, and eye rings on the iron deck. - Elevators and windshield fences are available as separate parts. -The anchor chain deck and short boat deck are expressed with delicate carvings such as non-slip split patterns and linoleum retainers. -The chimney is a two-part structure with the top and bottom glued together. -The strip pattern on the floor, such as the high-angle gun emplacement, is expressed with detailed carvings. -Binocular telescope parts that increase the sense of precision are included as separate parts on the bridge. - 17 carrier-based aircraft of 5 types are included, and the molding color is gray. - Carrier-based aircraft for 1939 were Type 96 carrier-based fighters and Type 96 carrier-based bombers, four each.・The carrier-based aircraft since 1945 are three each: Type 0 carrier-based fighter 21, Type 99 carrier-based bomber, and Type 97 carrier-based attack aircraft. -The 25mm twin machine gun is a 2-part type with precise modeling and easy-to-paint structure, and 2018 mold parts are included as standard. -The molding color is gray for the main parts, ship bottom plate, carrier aircraft, machine gun parts, etc. - There are 3 types of included decals - 1 decal for marking the carrier aircraft is included. - Includes 2 general-purpose decals for the stern ship name and the white line on the deck support. -This is an offshore model that does not include flight deck markings, military flags, or the bottom of the flight deck/ally identification mark (Hinomaru) from the MI operation in June 1944.
