PLATZ 1/24 BEEMAX Series Honda Civic EF-9 Gr.A 1991 JTC Inter TEC. PLATZ BX24030 Released in June 2024
[Product introduction]
PLATZ 1/24 BEEMAX series Honda Civic EF-9 Gr.A 1991 JTC Inter TEC.
[About the actual vehicle]
The Honda Civic was active in the Japanese Group A touring car race that started in 1985. The All-Japan Touring Car Championship was contested in three classes based on engine displacement, and we competed in the smallest engine displacement class. From the beginning, it was in a close battle with the Toyota Corolla Levin in the same class. They livened up the race as rivals. Group A machines also changed in line with the model change of the base vehicle. The Civic that appeared in the 1990 season was the EF-9 type, and was active until the middle of the 1992 season. Demonstrates high performance with the powerful B-16A engine and excellent suspension settings. The EF-9 Civic was used by several teams, including the Mooncraft team, and the Jax-sponsored machine was driven by Akihiko Nakatani and Naoki Hattori. At the Inter TEC held at Fuji Speedway, it did well, finishing 21st overall and 8th in its class.
[About the model]
The model is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Honda Civic that participated in the All Japan Touring Car Championship in 1991. It is modeled on the EF-9 type that appeared from the 1990 season. The low-slung, flowing hatchback body is realistically reproduced. This model is based on the JACKS collar at Inter TEC held at Fuji Speedway in 1991. The markings, which are white with a blue border line, are also reproduced with large decals, giving you a refreshing finish. The chassis and suspension are realistically modeled. The expression of the suspension setting with a much lowered vehicle height conveys sharp driving. Of course, the interior is also reproduced in detail. Interior parts such as the dashboard and bucket seats, as well as the roll bar that runs throughout the interior, give you a taste of the Spartan atmosphere unique to race cars.
■1/24 scale reproduction of the Group A specification of the Honda Civic EF-9 that was active in the 1991 season
■Realistic modeling of the hatchback style body
■The underside of the chassis includes suspension etc. Reproduced with separate parts for a three-dimensional finish
■The interior is a spartan expression unique to race specifications such as bucket seats and roll bars
■Participated in Inter TEC held at Fuji Speedway in 1991 with large decals Reproduce the machine that was created
