(C)BANDAI SPIRITS
Color-coded plastic model
The 10th release of the "Planosaurus" brand, which lets you learn all about dinosaurs with your own hands, features the super-large sauropod "Brachiosaurus" from the late Jurassic period! Learn about the internal structure of dinosaurs by "building a skeleton"
"Dinosaur Build" recreates the appearance of dinosaurs using the unique specifications of plastic models, where the skin parts are attached over the skeleton
Easy to assemble as no tools such as nippers or adhesives are required.
The huge nasal cavity on top of the head and the rows of chisel-sharp teeth for biting into plants are recreated in 3D based on fossils.
The long forelimbs extending from the shoulders higher than the waist are recreated in 3D based on fossils.
The tail is short for a sauropod, but it is thought to have been a powerful weapon against predators.
The characteristic neck skeletal shape is also realistically expressed, including the neural spines that firmly support the long neck muscles, the overlapping bones that increase strength, and the gaps on the sides of the neck.
The neck moves smoothly, so it can even lower its head to drink water or eat grass from the ground.
The sharp claws on the thumbs of the front legs and the tiptoe shape of the hind legs, which cannot be seen from the outer skin, are also depicted based on the skeleton.
