"threezeroX Takayuki Takeya Ideon" is an artistic masterpiece that took more than five years in total to design, sculpt, and develop.
This time, a limited edition has been released that reproduces the monotone color scheme that artist Takayuki Takeya had used at the design concept stage.
"threezeroX Takeya Takayuki Ideon Monotone Ver." is limited to a total of 100 units worldwide, with 40 units being distributed in Japan.
The design and prototype were created by world-renowned sculptor Takayuki Takeya.
Based on the 1980 anime "Space Runaway Ideon" directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino (now Yoshiyuki Tomino), known for "Mobile Suit Gundam," Takeya has redesigned the main robot "Ideon" to emphasize the concept that the ruins are the work of an alien race called the mysterious "Sixth Civilization" that disappeared long ago.
To show that it is a product of a technology far removed from that of humanity, Takeya sprinkled its surface with geometric patterns that are unclear as to whether they are decorative or have a functional purpose.
The overall form retains elements seen in the original anime design but exaggerates them to express that it is from an alien civilization.
Unlike the regular version, the limited edition "threezeroX Takeya Takayuki Ideon Monotone Ver." features the monochromatic color scheme that Takeya applied at the concept design stage.
Its appearance stimulates the imagination, as if it had been excavated and unearthed as an ancient ruin.
"threezeroX Takeya Takayuki Ideon Monotone Ver." is approximately 46cm tall including the shoulders (head height including horns is approximately 42cm), and is a fully articulated figure with over 125 points of articulation throughout the body, including finger joints.
In order to ensure stable and reliable movement of the large-sized figure, a die-cast metal frame is used inside.
Equipped with LED lighting gimmicks in more than five places, including the eyes, Ideon Gauge, and Ideon Sword release port on the wrist
The entire body is painted in precise detail to replicate the model painted by Takeya.
It also comes with a special action stand designed by Takeya to match the Ideon body seamlessly.
