This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the name ship Kagero, which showed remarkable performance in the night battle off Lunga. The gunwale part is divided into left and right parts, and the seams of the outer panels and the outboard electrical circuit are also delicately sculpted. Photo-etched parts include the vent mesh, rear pilot station loop antenna, depth charge dropping platform, propeller guard, and rattle. The sharp finish tightens the details. The anchor chain and propeller shaft are made of high-quality metal. The bridge window and searchlight lens parts are reproduced with transparent parts. A jig is also included to assemble the tripod mast without distortion. In addition to the main turret and torpedo tubes, the compass aiming device and rudder on the upper part of the bridge can be rotated by incorporating polycaps. The sharp form unique to a destroyer is fully reproduced. A metal-like ship name sticker is available on the pedestal where the full-hull specification model is displayed. The ship's appearance from the first half of the war has been recreated, including a simple bridge with no armor plate on the front and a smart mast with three pillars extending to the top. The main turret and torpedo tubes can be rotated by incorporating polycaps. The elevation angle of the main gun barrel can be selected for normal and anti-aircraft combat. Rear deck with paravanes and training guns. Depth charge dropping platform, paravane dropper arm, etc. are prepared as photo-etched parts. The anchor chain is made of metal with a rich three-dimensional feel. It can also be assembled into a waterline specification that expands the enjoyment of scene creation.
