Ship NEXT series battleship Yamato 1944/Operation Shoichigo comes with etched parts! The first of the Yamato-class battleships, Yamato, was completed in December 1941 as a culmination of large ship construction technology from the Kongo class to the Nagato class.
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and 46-cm main guns, it was the best in the world in all respects, and it was the flagship of the Combined Fleet at the last minute, and in the Battle of Midway it served as the flagship on which Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, commander-in-chief of the main fleet, sat.
Later, as aircraft became the main force in the war, Yamato was modified by removing some of its secondary guns and increasing its anti-aircraft armament, and took part in Operation Sho-Ichi-Go, the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the last organized naval battle.
The product is designed with a snap-fit system that does not require adhesives.
The main parts are made of color-coded plastic parts, and some colored parts are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformity.
The product is based on the Battle of Leyte Gulf, when the ship and the second ship, Musashi, set out to defend the Philippines.
The No. 22 radar attachment section on the side of the bridge is reproduced as it was before it was relocated. The jib crane/antenna support at the stern, which was removed in the final version, is reproduced in its correct shape, different from that of the Musashi. The air defense command post is equipped with a binocular telescope as a bonus part. The machine gun firing device at the front of the chimney is as it was before it was added.
The hull parts have closed portholes, and special parts are available.
The flag of Commander-in-Chief Kurita is included.
Includes etching parts that can express fine details that are difficult to reproduce with injection parts.
Etching parts include handrails, No. 21 and No. 13 radars, compass, ladders, etc.
