PLATZ 1/144 Air Self-Defense Force transport aircraft C-46D. The C-46 "Command" is a transport aircraft made by the American Curtiss-Wright Company, and 3,180 were produced since its first flight in March 1940. It was widely used by the US Army during World War II, and after the war, many were supplied to air forces and civilian markets around the world. The United States military began providing C-46D aircraft to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in January 1955, and by 1957, 36 aircraft had been delivered.
