TAMIYA 1/700 US Navy Escort Aircraft Carrier CVE-9 Borg.
[Useful in escorting convoys and attacking U-boats]
A total of 11 ships were deployed from 1942 to 1943, mainly active in escorting convoys in the Atlantic Ocean and attacking U-boats, heading for Germany. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the US Navy escort aircraft carrier Borg, which is also known for sinking the Japanese I-52 submarine. A faithful model of the unique style of a cargo ship equipped with a flight deck. Not only the elevator on the flight deck, but also the brake cables used to land carrier-based aircraft have been precisely reproduced.
